Le grand Bleu is a beautiful, charming apartment for 2 people. It is located on the first floor of an old fisherman’s house that was recently renovated (in 2020). It features a bedroom with 2 beds, a small living room with a kitchen, a bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, and a dressing room.

Cheronissos is a village with about twenty houses—almost all of them belonging to fishermen—that is very relaxing and peaceful, where there is no traffic noise, only the sounds of the sea and nature. There are two taverns where you can enjoy excellent seafood as well as traditional Greek dishes. In addition to water activities in the sea below (swimming, fishing, windsurfing), for those who love hiking, there are many opportunities for beautiful walks to reach secluded coves or to visit stunning monasteries around the island or up in the mountains. The island has about 360 churches scattered throughout.
For those looking to immerse themselves in a more festive atmosphere, just a few kilometers away are the villages of Artemonas and Apollonia (the capital), with many clubs, bars, and restaurants open both day and night.
How to get to Keronissos. At the exit of the port of Kamares on the island of Sifnos, continue on the road to the capital, Apollonia; in Apollonia, take the road to the village of Artemonas. Just before Artemonas, turn right and take the road to Keronissos. After about 10 km, you’ll see a wind farm on the right; continue on, and you’ll arrive at the large parking lot in Keronissos. Our house is the last one on the left with an iron gate, just past the “Romanza” hotel and restaurant.
