Summary: From the moment I checked in, already trouble. I was given a room on the opposite end of the hotel from the front desk, 2nd floor. I walked my extremely heavy bags up the stairs and all the way down, just to find the maintenance guy in my room who when I asked "are you in here?" thinking he was another guest, rudely tells me, "yeah I'm in here, you have to go back downstairs" and calls down to the front desk in some racist Indian accent to tell them he's doing maintenance and I need a new room. I walk my stuff back down, and get moved to a new room, again on the second floor so again have to lug my heavy stuff up the stairs after 9 hours of travel with no offer of staff help for the inconvenience. The new room was a queen, when I specifically booked a king. The room itself was gross. A hand towel had a booger on it, another hand towel later in the week had black stains, possibly from mascara. The sheets one night what I can only assume was a urine stain. The bathtub had black footprints and previous guests' hair, as well as the shower curtain. I ended up sanitizing the tub myself so I could take a bath. Stains on the carpet and walls. Homeless meth heads in parking lot. Shampoos just thrown on the counter, can't even be bothered to stand them upright.The younger girl at the front desk was polite, but other staff were pretty cold. I understand that a 2 star hotel is going to be far from luxurious, but this was pretty bad. Definitely will not be returning there next SLC trip.

Summary: Good value for the price. The room was clean and the cleaning staff did a good job with towels, soap,etc. Would stay again.

Summary: A child checked us in to our room. There was a terribly rude sign on the front desk talking about how if you don't eat all of the food on your plate and threw food away they were going to charge the cost to your room. If such a sign was actually necessary it should have been placed somewhere else, not on the front desk. It certainly read to me as threatening and unwelcoming. The toilet had poop streaks in it. There was a cockroach in the shower. There was splash marks on the back of the bathroom door and shower curtain and there were hairs on the bathroom floor walls and tub. I don't know what it was, but it was gross. The top blanket on the bed was covered in stains. I have no idea if it was clean. The sheets had reddish brown lipstick, candy, or blood on them and it looked like they were new markings. We removed ALL of the bedding so they would change it and they didn't. They just re-made the bed with the same bedding. When we went to turn on the tv, we noticed the remnants controll was taped and not very well. Go figure, as soon as my husband hit the power button the whole thing came apart. We couldn't find a way to turn the tv off so we just unplugged it. I have no doubt they will charge us for it. I tried to talk to them about it before we left, but no one was coming to the front desk! We could not wait all day, so we left. I will never stay here again!
